Overview

The ATEN CS1188D4 is an 8-port USB DVI Secure KVM Switch designed for secure environments, including defense and intelligence applications. It provides essential peripheral isolation between multiple computer sources while allowing a single operator to control a keyboard, mouse, monitor, and speakers. This unit ensures data security by preventing unauthorized access or data leakage between connected systems, supporting up to 4K UHD resolution for clear visual output. The CS1188D4 is built for rack mounting, fitting seamlessly into standard server racks.

Compatibility

This KVM switch is compatible with systems requiring a USB keyboard and mouse and a DVI video interface. It supports DVI-I (Dual Link, Single Link, and DVI-A) video connections. The maximum supported resolution is 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz (4K UHD) for DVI Dual Link. For DVI Single Link, it supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz, and for DVI-A, up to 2048 x 1536 @ 60 Hz. It adheres to PSD PP v4.0 standards for peripheral sharing switches.

Installation Notes

The unit is designed for rack mounting, utilizing standard rack rails. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to maintain optimal operating temperature. Connections are made via USB for keyboard and mouse, and DVI-I for video. The switch itself draws power from the connected computers via USB, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter.
