Overview
The Speco Technologies D8WHU6TB is an 8-channel wall-mount DVR designed for surveillance systems requiring local recording and management of both HD-TVI and IP cameras. Its TAA compliance makes it suitable for government and sensitive commercial installations. The unit offers EZ Wizards for simplified setup of cameras, network, recording, and event searching, streamlining deployment in environments like retail back offices or small business security rooms.
Compatibility
This DVR supports up to 8MP HD-TVI cameras and IP cameras, with each channel configurable for either protocol. It integrates with Speco IP cameras via auto-discovery and supports general IP camera setup. The unit features dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, allowing for separate camera network traffic from the main LAN, enhancing network performance and security. It is compatible with the free US-based Speco DDNS service for remote access.
Installation Notes
The D8WHU6TB supports up to 40TB of internal storage via 4 internal SATA ports. It also offers RAID 1/5/10 support for data redundancy, with a maximum RAID capacity of 16TB. An eSATA port is available for additional external storage expansion. The unit provides multiple video outputs including 1 HDMI, 1 VGA, 1 Main, 1 Spot, and 1 Looping output for flexible monitoring setups. Recording modes include motion detection, sensor trigger, schedule, continuous, and manual recording. Event video can be uploaded to Google Drive.
