The Middle Atlantic 42A is a half-gang communication faceplate insert sized for 4-inch EVO series rough-in boxes. It fills the open half-gang cutout in EVO series in-wall infrastructure, giving installers a finished, keyed opening for low-voltage cabling pass-through or connector mounting in AV, security, and structured-wiring installations. If you are building out a clean in-wall termination point inside an Middle Atlantic EVO system and need to populate an unused half-gang position, the 42A is the correct blank or communication insert for that slot.

Compatibility

The 42A is designed for use with Middle Atlantic's EVO series 4-inch in-wall boxes and the corresponding EVO AV infrastructure trim and faceplate system. It occupies a single half-gang position within a multi-gang EVO faceplate assembly. Confirm your rough-in box is the 4-inch EVO series variant before ordering — EVO boxes in other depths or the standard (non-EVO) Middle Atlantic in-wall line use different insert dimensions and will not accept this faceplate without modification.
