Description

Middle Atlantic PM48T 48-Inch Diamond Plate Steel Power Strip

Overview

The PM48T is a Wiremold Plugmold 2400 Series steel multi-outlet strip built for rack rooms, AV bays, and commercial interior installations where durable surface-mounted power distribution is needed without a dedicated PDU. At 48 inches (4 ft) with five duplex 15A receptacles on a single 15A/125V AC circuit, it handles the outlet density typical of a mid-size AV rack or security head-end without over-complicating the wiring. The diamond plate steel finish holds up to regular physical contact in server closets and equipment rooms far better than standard plastic strips. UL-listed for both Canada and US deployment.

Compatibility

Designed for surface or raceway mounting in dry interior environments — fits Middle Atlantic rack enclosures, equipment credenzas, under-desk cable raceways, and wall-mount AV equipment bays. Mounts directly to Wiremold 2400 Series raceway channels or any flat surface. The 6 ft power cord reaches standard 15A NEMA 5-15R receptacles. Not rated for wet or damp locations — do not deploy in exterior, plenum, or industrial wash-down environments. The five duplex receptacles accommodate standard NEMA 5-15P plugs; verify outlet spacing against your widest power adapters before installing in dense configurations.

Installation Notes

Steel construction uses 0.040-inch (1.0mm) base and cover — thinner than rack-grade steel but sufficient for surface-mount applications. Single-circuit wiring means all five outlets share the 15A feed; size your connected load accordingly and do not use this strip as a substitute for a properly spec'd rack PDU where per-outlet metering or surge protection is required. Mount to raceway channel or directly to a flat surface using the integrated mounting slots. Indoor dry locations only per UL listing.
