Overview

The Altronix NETWAYSP3LX is a 3-port PoE fiber media converter designed to extend Ethernet network range over fiber optic cable while simultaneously providing up to 60W of PoE power to connected devices. This unit is ideal for deploying IP cameras, wireless access points, or other network-enabled devices in locations where standard Ethernet cable runs are insufficient or where significant power delivery is required. Its NEMA 1 enclosure offers basic protection for indoor installations.

Compatibility

This converter is compatible with standard IEEE 802.3af/at/bt compliant PoE devices. It is designed to work with single-mode or multi-mode fiber optic transceivers (sold separately) for extending Ethernet connectivity up to 2km (multi-mode) or 40km (single-mode), depending on the transceiver used. It integrates with any network infrastructure requiring extended reach and PoE delivery.

Installation Notes

The NETWAYSP3LX requires a separate fiber optic transceiver module (SFP) to be installed in its designated slot for fiber connectivity. Power is supplied via a 12-24 VDC input (adapter not included). The unit supports up to 60W of PoE output, requiring an appropriate power source to achieve full output capability. Ensure the NEMA 1 enclosure is installed in a dry, indoor location away from direct environmental exposure.
