Description

Middle Atlantic WRK-37-32LRD 37RU Open-Frame Floor-Standing Rack

Overview

The WRK-37-32LRD is a 37-rack-unit, 32.63-inch-deep open-frame floor rack from Middle Atlantic's WRK series — built for security head-end rooms, equipment closets, and AV/IT infrastructure installations where front and rear access to gear matters and a rear door would only get in the way. At 24.25 in. wide and 70.88 in. tall with 64.75 in. of usable height, the WRK-37-32LRD handles full-height deployments of NVRs, servers, patch panels, and power distribution without running out of vertical real estate. The 10-32 threaded rail system is the standard for commercial rack equipment, so virtually any 19-inch rack-mount device drops straight in without adapter hardware. UL-listed load capacity is 2,500 lbs — sufficient for a fully populated NVR stack with drives — while the structural weight capacity reaches 10,000 lbs, meaning the frame itself won't be the failure point in any realistic install. TAA compliance makes this rack eligible for federal and government-funded projects without sourcing exceptions. Seismic rating to ASCE 7-10 means it meets requirements for installations in seismic zones where rack anchorage and frame integrity are code-governed — relevant for California, Pacific Northwest, and other high-risk regions. Manufactured in the USA.

Compatibility

Accepts any 19-inch EIA-310 rack-mount equipment on standard 10-32 threaded rails: network video recorders, PoE switches, servers, KVM units, and patch panels all mount without modification. The 30.75 in. usable depth accommodates deep 1U/2U servers and NVR chassis that typically run 28–30 in. in depth. Gangable construction allows side-by-side pairing with additional WRK units to expand capacity — useful in larger head-end rooms or when scaling a surveillance infrastructure buildout across multiple racks. Compatible with Middle Atlantic's WRK-series accessories including shelves, blanks, cable management, and power strips designed to the same rail spacing. For a broader look at the Middle Atlantic rack and enclosure line, the WRK series sits between their lighter relay racks and their enclosed WRK cabinet variants. If rear cable management or environmental protection is required, consider a companion enclosed rack enclosure from the same family.

Installation Notes

No rear door is included or available on this configuration — plan cable egress from the open rear accordingly. Shipping weight is 173.6 lbs; two-person lift and a pallet jack are practical for positioning. Seismic compliance per ASCE 7-10 requires proper floor anchoring using Middle Atlantic's recommended seismic anchor kit — the rack's rating applies only when anchored to a structurally adequate floor per the ASCE standard. Verify floor load capacity before deployment: the rack's 10,000 lb structural rating exceeds most floor ratings for concentrated point loads in raised-floor data environments.
