The Panduit MP528-X is a 28 AWG Cat 5e UTP modular plug designed for terminating 4-pair, 100-ohm, unshielded twisted pair cable. It specifically supports solid or stranded conductors with a maximum insulation diameter of 0.027 inches (0.69mm). This plug is ideal for network infrastructure installations where reliable termination is critical for performance, particularly in moves, adds, and changes. The robust construction is rated for 2500 mating cycles, ensuring longevity in commercial environments.
Compatibility
This Panduit Pan-Plug® modular plug is designed for use with Cat 5e, 28 AWG, unshielded twisted pair (UTP) copper cable systems. It meets IEC 60603-7 standards for modular plug terminations, ensuring interoperability with standard RJ45 jacks and patch panels compliant with the same specification. It is suitable for terminating both solid and stranded conductor types within the specified gauge and insulation diameter limits.
Installation Notes
The MP528-X features a patented tangle-free latch, which prevents snags during installation and provides an easy release mechanism, streamlining the termination process.
