Description

Panduit STP6X25RD 25ft Cat6A Red Copper Patch Cord

Overview

The Panduit STP6X25RD is a 25-foot Category 6A patch cord designed for high-speed data transmission in demanding network environments. Its S/FTP (Shielded/Foiled Twisted Pair) construction with a red PVC jacket ensures robust performance and easy identification in structured cabling systems. This cable is engineered to support 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-T) applications, making it suitable for data centers, enterprise networks, and any deployment requiring reliable, high-bandwidth connectivity. The STP6X25RD model is built to Panduit's exacting standards, ensuring consistent performance and durability.

Compatibility

This Cat6A patch cord is backward compatible with Cat6 and Cat5e systems but is optimized for Cat6A infrastructure. It is designed to terminate into standard RJ45 connectors and is compatible with all network devices featuring RJ45 ports, including switches, routers, servers, workstations, and IP cameras. It is suitable for use with 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-T) up to 100 meters (328 feet) when used in a complete Cat6A system. For optimal performance and to meet Cat6A specifications, it should be paired with other certified Cat6A components, such as patch panels and jacks.

Installation Notes

The STP6X25RD features a flexible yet durable PVC jacket, rated for general-purpose indoor use. The cable's S/FTP shielding requires proper grounding at both ends through the RJ45 connectors to effectively mitigate electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk. Ensure that the cable is not bent tighter than its minimum bend radius (typically 4 times the cable diameter) to avoid internal conductor damage. The red color coding aids in identifying critical network links, such as those connecting servers to switches or backbone connections.
