Overview
The Altronix MAXIMAL7V is an access power controller designed to distribute and switch power to access control systems and their associated hardware. It takes a 220VAC input and converts it into sixteen independently controlled, fuse-protected 24VDC outputs. This unit is ideal for installations requiring reliable, distributed power for devices like magnetic locks, electric strikes, and magnetic door holders, ensuring operational continuity. The MAXIMAL7V is housed in a BC800 enclosure.
Compatibility
This controller is engineered to interface with standard access control system triggers, including open collector sink or normally open (NO) dry trigger inputs. Compatible trigger sources include Access Control Systems, Keypads, Push Buttons, and REX (Request-to-Exit) devices. The sixteen 24VDC outputs can power a variety of access control hardware. The unit also features a selectable fire alarm disconnect for any or all outputs, enabling emergency egress functionality or alarm monitoring integration.
Installation Notes
The input voltage range is 198VAC to 256VAC at 50/60Hz, drawing up to 2.4A. The unit provides sixteen (16) 24VDC fuse-protected outputs. The outputs can be configured as Fail Safe or Fail Secure and can be converted to dry form "C" contacts. Power supply input options include factory-installed common inputs for ACM8 and lock power, or two isolated external power inputs.
