Description

APC by Schneider Electric PDW24L21-20XC Cable Extender

Overview

The APC by Schneider Electric PDW24L21-20XC is a 7.3-meter (24 ft) power extender cable designed to bridge the gap between a power source and equipment requiring an L21-20R/P receptacle. This black, 5-wire, #10 AWG cable facilitates deployment of IT and security infrastructure where standard power cord lengths are insufficient. It supports 208V input at 20A, making it suitable for powering racks of servers, network switches, or surveillance equipment in data centers or enterprise environments.

Compatibility

This extender cable is engineered to connect to standard L21-20R/P male inlets and provide an L21-20R/P female receptacle. It is compatible with any equipment or power distribution unit (PDU) that utilizes the L21-20R/P connector type and operates within the 208V, 20A power envelope. Specifically, it's useful for extending power from APC's own rack PDUs or other L21-20R/P equipped power sources to devices located further within a rack or at a distance from the PDU outlet.

Installation Notes

The cable measures 7.315 meters (approximately 24 feet) in length and 51 x 64 mm in its cross-section. It is rated for 20A and 208V, ensuring it can handle the specified load. The male connector plugs into the power source, and the female receptacle connects to the load. Ensure the combined load of all equipment connected does not exceed the 20A rating for the circuit to prevent breaker trips or overheating. The cable is designed for indoor use within standard operating temperature ranges. Package dimensions are 305 mm width x 102 mm height, with a total package weight of 3.77 kg.
