Description

Panduit H200X044H2T Heat Shrink Tubing

Overview

The Panduit H200X044H2T is a 2.00-inch diameter by 44-inch length, yellow heat shrink tubing designed for robust wire and cable management in industrial and commercial environments. This tubing provides insulation, strain relief, and environmental protection for splices, terminations, and bundles, ensuring long-term reliability in demanding applications. Its heat-activated adhesive lining creates a sealed barrier against moisture and contaminants, critical for maintaining signal integrity in surveillance and data transmission systems. The H200X044H2T model is specified for applications requiring a durable, protective sleeve that shrinks to conform to irregular shapes.

Compatibility

This heat shrink tubing is designed for general-purpose wire and cable management. It is compatible with a wide range of cable diameters that fall within its 2.00-inch expanded size, shrinking to approximately 1.00-inch. It is suitable for use with various cable types commonly found in surveillance installations, including coaxial, power, and network cables, as well as general electrical wiring. The tubing is intended for use with standard heat guns or induction heating tools for proper installation.

Installation Notes

Proper installation requires a heat source capable of reaching temperatures sufficient to shrink the tubing and activate the adhesive lining. A controlled heat gun or oven is recommended. Ensure the cable or splice is clean and dry before application. Apply heat evenly around the tubing, starting from the center and moving outwards, to ensure uniform shrinkage and a complete seal. Avoid overheating, which can damage the cable insulation or the tubing itself. The tubing shrinks to approximately 50% of its original diameter, providing a tight, protective fit.
