Overview
The Altronix NETWAY16MV is a 16-port managed midspan PoE injector designed to deliver reliable power to network devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones. This unit simplifies network infrastructure by providing power and data over a single Ethernet cable, reducing installation complexity and cost. It is particularly suited for deployments in network closets or distributed locations where dedicated PoE switches are not feasible. The NETWAY16MV supports up to 15.4W per port, adhering to the IEEE 802.3af standard, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of PoE-enabled devices.
Compatibility
This managed midspan is engineered to power any IEEE 802.3af compliant device. It is compatible with various IP camera families including, but not limited to, Axis M-series and P-series cameras, Hanwha X-series and Q-series cameras, and Hikvision Easy IP series cameras. It also supports standard 802.11ac wireless access points from vendors like Ubiquiti UniFi and Aruba, as well as VoIP phones from Cisco, Polycom, and Yealink that draw power via PoE.
Installation Notes
The NETWAY16MV requires a 220V AC input. Each port provides up to 15.4W of power, totaling 240W maximum output for the unit. Ensure your AC power source can support this load. The device is designed for rackmount installation, utilizing standard 1U height. Proper ventilation is critical; maintain at least 1U of space above and below the unit to prevent overheating, especially under full load.
