Overview
The Altronix SMP10PM12P8220 is a 12VDC power supply and battery charger designed for surveillance and access control systems requiring reliable power distribution. It converts a 220VAC input into a regulated 12VDC output, capable of delivering up to 10A of continuous supply current across eight individually fused outputs. This unit is ideal for installations where multiple devices need stable, protected power, such as powering cameras, access control readers, or other low-voltage security peripherals. The integrated supervision features provide critical status monitoring for AC power and battery backup, ensuring system integrity.
Compatibility
This power supply is designed for use with 220VAC input power sources. It provides eight 12VDC outputs, each rated for up to 3.5A, suitable for powering a wide range of low-voltage security devices. The built-in charger supports sealed lead-acid or gel type batteries (sold separately) for backup power. It is compatible with systems requiring AC fail and low battery supervision via Form C contacts.
Installation Notes
The unit operates within a 198VAC to 256VAC input range and requires a 0.8A input current. Outputs are filtered and electronically regulated, with short circuit and thermal overload protection on each of the eight 3.5A rated outputs. The maximum battery charge current is 0.7A. AC fail and low battery supervision are provided via Form C contacts. Operating temperature range is 0° C to 49° C (32° F to 120° F). The included wall mount enclosure measures 13"W x 13.5"H x 3.25"D.
