Description

Panduit UTP28SP12BL Patch Cord

Overview

The Panduit UTP28SP12BL is a 12-foot, black Category 6 UTP patch cord designed for reliable data transmission in demanding network environments. Its compact 28 AWG stranded conductor design simplifies cable management in high-density racks and patch panels. The patented tangle-free latch ensures secure connections and easy release, streamlining moves, adds, and changes in IT infrastructure. Enabled with RapidID, it includes pre-installed barcodes for efficient port mapping with compatible software.

Compatibility

This patch cord is engineered to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6 and ISO 11801 Class E performance requirements up to 250 MHz. It supports 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet), 100BASE-T (Fast Ethernet), 155 Mb/s ATM, 622 Mb/s ATM, digital video, and VoIP systems. It is also rated to support IEEE 802.3bt types 3 and 4 PoE applications, allowing up to 24 cables in a bundle without performance degradation, which is critical for powering high-demand network devices like cameras and access points.

Installation Notes

Constructed with CM/LSZH (Communications Multipurpose/Low Smoke Zero Halogen) rated cable, this cord is suitable for use in plenum spaces or where low-smoke and zero-halogen fire-retardant properties are required. The 0.150-inch (3.8mm) diameter and stranded 28 AWG conductors offer flexibility and ease of routing in confined spaces. The integral pair manager and centered de-embedded plug design maintain cable geometry for optimal performance.
