Description

Middle Atlantic CT.XP-AC-WT-12-SV 12 ft Under-Carpet Wall Trac Channel

Overview

The CT.XP-AC-WT-12-SV is a 12 ft (3.7 m) silver under-carpet wall trac channel from Middle Atlantic's raceway and cord cover line. It solves the cable management problem in finished commercial spaces — conference rooms, open offices, and reception areas — where surface-mounted conduit is unacceptable and cutting into walls or floors isn't an option. The channel runs flat beneath carpet tile or area rugs, keeping low-voltage cabling out of foot traffic paths without visible conduit runs. At 12 ft per piece, it covers a typical workstation-to-wall run or a short cross-room segment in a single length, eliminating mid-run seams on shorter installs.

Compatibility

This channel is part of Middle Atlantic's Express Under-Carpet WallTrac (XP-WT) family. It is compatible with other XP-WT series components — connectors, end caps, and transition pieces within the same product line — allowing you to build out corner turns, T-intersections, and terminations while maintaining a continuous silver finish. Intended for use with standard low-voltage cabling: Cat5e/Cat6 data runs, low-voltage security sensor leads, and similar flat or round cables sized for under-carpet raceway profiles. Verify cable diameter and fill capacity against the XP-WT series specifications before routing thicker cable bundles. Not rated for line-voltage (120V/240V AC) wiring.

Installation Notes

The silver color (SV suffix) is matched to the XP-WT series palette — confirm the finish aligns with your flooring and base trim before ordering if color consistency matters on the install. Route beneath low-pile carpet tile for the flattest profile; thick loop-pile carpet may create a visible ridge over the channel body. Secure the channel to the subfloor per Middle Atlantic's XP-WT installation guidance before laying or re-laying carpet over it to prevent lateral shift under foot traffic.
