Overview

The ATEN 2L2920 is a 100-meter (328 ft) Cat6A S/FTP cable engineered for HDBaseT signal runs in AV-over-IP, KVM extender, and matrix switcher deployments where long-distance structured cabling must hit 500 MHz without signal degradation. The 23 AWG conductor size keeps DC resistance at or below 7.3 Ω per 100 m — critical for maintaining clean HDBaseT link margins at full reach. S/FTP construction (aluminum Mylar tape per-pair shield plus an overall tinned copper braid) suppresses both differential and common-mode interference, making this the right choice for cable trays shared with power or in electrically noisy environments like AV production floors, control rooms, and warehouse automation racks. Factory-terminated with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends, so there is no field crimping required for a clean installation.

Propagation delay ceiling of 498 ns per 100 m and delay skew of 10 ns maximum per 100 m keep HDBaseT timing budgets intact at full cable length. Run this cable away from high-voltage power lines and unshielded fluorescent ballasts where possible; the S/FTP shield is effective but not a substitute for physical separation in extreme RF environments.
