Description

Panduit UTP28SP1.5MYL 1.5M CAT6 YLW COPPER PATCHCORD NC/NR

Overview

The Panduit UTP28SP1.5MYL is a 1.5-meter (approximately 5 feet) Category 6 (CAT6) copper patch cord, finished in yellow. This cable is designed for standard Ethernet networking applications where reliable data transmission is critical. Its specific length and color coding aid in organized network infrastructure deployment, particularly in environments requiring distinct cable runs for different purposes or device types, such as connecting surveillance cameras to network switches or patching endpoints in a data center rack. This cable is manufactured to ensure signal integrity for data rates up to 1 Gigabit Ethernet.

Compatibility

This CAT6 patch cord is compatible with all standard RJ45 Ethernet ports found on network switches, routers, servers, computers, IP cameras, and other network-enabled devices. It supports 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet standards. For optimal performance, it should be used with other CAT6-rated cabling components (jacks, patch panels) to achieve full Gigabit Ethernet speeds and bandwidth capabilities. It is suitable for use with devices from brands such as Axis Communications, Hanwha Vision, Hikvision, Dahua, Ubiquiti, and any other manufacturer utilizing standard RJ45 network interfaces.

Installation Notes

The UTP28SP1.5MYL features a snagless boot design to protect the RJ45 connector's locking tab during installation and removal, preventing accidental disconnections. The yellow jacket aids in visual identification within a structured cabling system. Ensure the cable is not subjected to excessive pulling tension or sharp bends (minimum bend radius of 4x cable diameter) to maintain its electrical performance and physical integrity. This cable is intended for indoor, non-conduit use.
