STI STI-6400 Exit Stopper Multifunction Door Alarm
Overview
The STI-6400 is a hardened polycarbonate exit stopper that detects unauthorized door openings and triggers a configurable alarm or audible warning. Designed for emergency exits, back doors, and controlled access points where you need to catch unauthorized departures or entries without integrating into a full card-access system. The device mounts on any door—top, side, or frame—and operates independently or as part of a multi-door security strategy across up to 32 doors. Compact footprint (137 × 137 × 51 mm) fits standard door hardware without structural modifications.
Compatibility
The STI-6400 is a standalone device with no direct integration into modern card-access panels or networked readers. It functions as an independent perimeter alarm and can be deployed alongside access control systems managing monitored exits. Fits standard door frames and is compatible with both hinged and push-bar configurations. Power integration supports 12–24 VDC wired systems (for hardwired deployment in facilities with existing 24V distribution) or standalone operation via 9 VDC alkaline battery, allowing retrofit without electrical modifications.
Installation Notes
Operating temperature range: 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F). Not rated for outdoor or wet environments—mount in covered doorways only. Battery-powered units draw <15 µA in standby and deliver approximately 2 years of runtime depending on alarm activation frequency. Wired units pull steady-state power from your 24V circuit; confirm available capacity before deployment. Device can be armed/disarmed via supplied key only—no wireless control. In alarm mode, sound duration is user-selectable: 30 seconds, 3 minutes, or continuous until key-disarmed or battery depletion. Audible output is 105 dB (alarm) or 95 dB (configurable tone).
