Overview
The ACTi RVR-100C is a cloud connector module designed to extend UP-series remote video recorders with cloud-based video access and archival capabilities. Deploy this when you need to offload recorded footage to cloud storage, enable remote monitoring across multiple sites, or integrate UP recorders into a hybrid on-premise/cloud architecture. The RVR-100C bridges local recording and cloud infrastructure without replacing your existing UP recorder — it functions as a gateway that manages connectivity, video sync, and data flow between the recorder and cloud endpoints.
Compatibility
The RVR-100C is engineered specifically for ACTi UP-series remote video recorders. Verify your UP model number before ordering to ensure seamless integration. This connector does not support ACTi recorder models outside the UP family. Integration occurs at the network level — the RVR-100C communicates with the UP recorder via standard network protocols, so your existing LAN/WAN infrastructure carries the video traffic. Cloud storage provisioning and account setup are handled separately through ACTi's cloud management platform.
Installation Notes
Mount the RVR-100C near your UP recorder to minimize cable runs and maintain network proximity. The unit requires standard Ethernet connectivity to your network and power input — verify your power supply specifications match the unit's input rating before installation. Configure network settings (IP address, gateway, DNS) during commissioning to establish cloud endpoint connectivity. Allow 10–15 minutes for the connector to establish and authenticate its cloud session after initial power-on. If your network uses 802.1X or MAC filtering, register the RVR-100C's MAC address with your network administrator before deployment.
