Overview

The Aiphone IM-1 is a complete cashier and security window communication system designed for ticket windows, service counters, and customer-facing access points. The system uses voice-actuated (VOX) hands-free technology requiring no manual switching during conversation. Inconspicuous unit design preserves visibility and does not obstruct faces of those approaching the window—critical for security and customer service environments.

Key Features

Flexible gooseneck microphone adjusts to virtually any position. Voice-actuated operation automatically activates communication when the TALK switch is on; during standby, public-side audio remains audible at reduced volume. Optional integration with motion sensors enables automatic communication activation upon customer approach. Compatible with computer-style headsets (not supplied). Transmit output: 3W at 4Ω; Receive output: 1.5W at 16Ω.

Installation

Power supply to control unit and speaker driver connections support run distances up to 66 feet using 22AWG/18AWG shielded wire (Aiphone #822202 or #821802).
