Compatibility

The TL-SG1016PE accepts any standard 802.3af or 802.3at (PoE+) powered device on its 8 designated PoE ports — IP cameras (domes, turrets, bullets), PTZ units, access control readers, wireless access points, and SIP phones all draw power directly from the switch. Non-PoE devices use the remaining 8 unpowered gigabit ports. The 120W total allocation handles four simultaneous high-power devices (e.g., PTZ cameras drawing 40W each) or eight mid-power devices (standard dome cameras at 15W each). Configuration is port-agnostic — assign PoE power to any of the 8 dedicated ports; assign traffic VLANs and QoS rules to any port via the management interface.
