Aiphone DB-1SD Hands-Free Sub Master Station
Overview
The Aiphone DB-1SD is a sub master station engineered for multi-unit residential and light commercial installations. It operates as a secondary station within the DB Series intercom architecture, enabling hands-free (VOX) or push-to-talk communication between units in the same residence or office. The unit features a door release button powered by the entrance station, call tone volume control with LED mute indicator, and receive volume adjustment for flexible operation in varied acoustic environments.

The DB-1SD integrates with DB Series door stations and master stations. Supported wiring includes 4-conductor low-capacitance cable (Aiphone #871804) between tenant master and sub stations, or shared power configurations (Aiphone #822206). Maximum transmission distance from master to farthest sub station reaches 330 feet using standard gauge wire. Optional Call Extension Speaker (IER-2) or external signaling relay (RY-ES) enables custom alert configurations.
