Overview
The Valcom VIP-824A is an IP paging gateway that bridges loop start station ports to managed IP-based LAN/WAN networks. It enables integration of legacy PSTN and PBX trunk lines into modern SIP-based IP infrastructure, making it ideal for enterprises transitioning from circuit-switched to packet-switched voice systems.
Compatibility
Supports SIP protocol for IP communication. Accepts PoE (802.3af) power, eliminating dedicated power supply requirements. Compatible with most loop start station ports, allowing seamless connection of existing PSTN/PBX trunks to managed networks without hardware replacement.
