$5,716.99The Hanwha Vision PNM-C32084RQZ-8XE256G is an advanced AI-powered multi-directional surveillance camera designed for wide-area monitoring with high analytic density. The platform integrates four independent 8MP imaging channels within a single housing, delivering simultaneous multi-angle coverage from one mounting point. This architecture reduces infrastructure requirements while maintaining high pixel density across large scenes such as intersections, plazas, transportation hubs, and large commercial perimeters. The system supports PTRZ (Pan, Tilt, Rotate, Zoom) remote positioning, enabling installers to fine-tune coverage without physically accessing the camera after installation.
Unlike single-sensor cameras, the PNM-C32084RQZ integrates four 8MP sensors (32MP total capture capacity) inside a unified housing. Each channel can be positioned independently using PTRZ motorization, allowing a single device to replace multiple fixed cameras. This reduces cabling, switch ports, and mounting hardware while maintaining directional control over individual fields of view.
This architecture is particularly valuable in locations where infrastructure access is limited—such as pole mounts, parking lot islands, or building corners. Instead of installing multiple cameras and running multiple network drops, one multi-sensor unit can provide coverage in four directions while sharing a single PoE++ connection.
DORI performance demonstrates the operational detection envelope of the optics. Detection distance reaches approximately 176.6m at telephoto and 50.8m at wide angle, with identification ranges of 17.7m and 5.1m respectively depending on focal configuration. These figures help system designers estimate pixel density and target recognition capability when planning mounting height and scene coverage.
A defining feature of this model is its embedded edge computing platform built around NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX modules. This enables advanced AI inference directly on the camera without requiring external GPU servers. The system includes onboard RAM and flash memory as well as integrated SSD storage for AI workloads and video processing.
Running analytics at the edge reduces latency and allows the camera to perform object classification, event detection, and scene analysis locally before transmitting only relevant data to the VMS. This architecture is particularly useful for large distributed deployments where bandwidth efficiency and real-time alerting are critical.
The PNM-C32084RQZ is powered using PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt Type 4), reflecting the computational requirements of its multi-sensor imaging system and onboard AI hardware. Maximum power consumption reaches approximately 71W depending on compute configuration, with typical operation around 40W.
Because of this higher power profile, deployment planning must account for PoE++ switch capacity and cable quality. The single-cable design still simplifies infrastructure compared with installing four separate cameras, but switch budgeting remains an important design factor.
The camera housing is constructed from aluminum and polycarbonate with a hardened dome window, designed for demanding outdoor environments. It carries IP66 ingress protection and IK10 impact resistance ratings, as well as NEMA 4X environmental protection. Operating temperature ranges from −40°C to +55°C with full humidity tolerance up to 100% RH under operating conditions.
These ratings make the platform suitable for transportation infrastructure, industrial facilities, coastal environments, and other exposed installation scenarios where both weather and vandal resistance are required.
Edge storage is supported through dual microSD slots supporting up to 512GB each, providing a maximum of 1TB local storage. Security architecture includes device certificates, encrypted storage partitions, TPM 2.0 hardware security, and AES-256 encryption for exported recordings.
These protections align the camera with enterprise cybersecurity requirements and help ensure recorded footage remains protected even if storage media is physically accessed.
This camera is best suited for wide-area coverage where multiple viewing angles are required from a single mounting point. Typical deployments include parking structures, stadium perimeters, intersections, campuses, industrial yards, and logistics hubs where multi-directional coverage and AI analytics provide operational value.
If the deployment requires long-range optical zoom tracking, PTZ patrol functionality, or low-power infrastructure with standard PoE, a traditional PTZ or single-sensor camera may be a better fit. The PoE++ power requirement and large physical housing also make it less suitable for compact indoor installations.
