SmartViewer Legacy represents a capable entry-level VMS solution for organizations with existing Hanwha/Wisenet infrastructure. Its strength lies in straightforward multi-camera management, flexible display configurations, and event-driven automation—all delivered without complex licensing overhead. The 72-channel dual-monitor capacity addresses small commercial deployments effectively.
However, organizations considering new system purchases should evaluate the newer Wisenet Viewer platform, which offers enhanced capabilities and long-term vendor support. SmartViewer Legacy remains valuable for legacy system maintenance, cost-conscious operations, and organizations requiring proven Windows-based management without cloud dependencies.
