The Axis P4708-PLVE is a high-performance outdoor panoramic network camera designed for enterprise and IT-driven surveillance deployments. Featuring dual 1/2.8″ progressive-scan RGB CMOS sensors delivering 2 × 8 MP (4K) at up to 30 fps, the camera captures wide-angle overviews and zoomed detail simultaneously via a single IP address. For low-light and dynamic lighting environments, it incorporates Axis Lightfinder and Forensic WDR (up to approximately 120 dB) to preserve image clarity and color fidelity in both bright and dark conditions. The built-in 360° IR illumination with individually controllable LEDs and a 2.5× motorised varifocal lens (3.2–8.1 mm) allow consistent imaging even in complete darkness, making it suitable for demanding outdoor perimeters, intersections or large open spaces.

Leveraging the ARTPEC-8 platform and a dedicated deep-learning processing unit (DLPU), the P4708-PLVE supports edge analytics and metadata generation for rapid forensic search and object classification of humans and vehicles. On the cybersecurity front, it incorporates Axis Edge Vault to protect device identity and secure boot processes, ensuring it meets modern IT and AV integration requirements.
