Overview
The Aiphone DB-1MD is an open voice master station for the DB Series residential and light commercial intercom system. It supports hands-free communication via VOX (voice-operated exchange) or push-to-talk simplex mode, making it suitable for multi-unit and office installations requiring flexible audio routing.
Key Features
All-call capability between stations within the same residence or office. Option button controls external devices via N/O dry contact or 24V AC/DC output (1.6A max). Integrated call tone volume control with LED mute indicator. Receive volume control. Door release button powered by connected door station. Supports optional Call Extension Speaker (IER-2) or external signaling relay (RY-ES) for third-party bell or light integration.
Compatibility
Designed for DB Series installations. Connects to entrance stations via 2-conductor low-capacity PE insulation wire (up to 360' at 22AWG; 1,020' at 18AWG). Connects to tenant sub-stations via 4-conductor wire (up to 330' from master to farthest sub-station). Operates on standard 15V AC supply via Aiphone PT-1211CA transformer.
