$5,025.99The i-PRO WV-X66700-Z3K is a 4K outdoor PTZ network camera engineered for long-range situational awareness and rapid incident response. Built around a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor and powered by an Ambarella CV22 system-on-chip, the camera combines high-resolution imaging with a 30× optical zoom and high-speed PTZ movement for large-area monitoring. The platform supports up to three edge AI analytics applications and includes AI auto-tracking to follow moving targets across wide coverage zones. With pan speeds up to 700°/s and tilt speeds up to 500°/s, the system is designed for fast repositioning between preset points in critical surveillance environments. The camera is also hardened for demanding outdoor conditions with IP66 and IK10 ratings, heavy salt-damage resistance, and integrated cybersecurity features including a FIPS 140-2 Level 3 SecureElement.
The WV-X66700-Z3K uses a 4.5–135 mm lens delivering 30× optical zoom and up to 90× digital zoom (depending on resolution). This provides a horizontal field of view from approximately 62° at wide angle down to 2.5° at full telephoto, enabling operators to transition from broad area coverage to narrow long-distance inspection.
In practical deployment terms, the wide field of view supports perimeter situational awareness across parking lots, campus grounds, and transportation hubs. When zoomed to telephoto, the camera achieves extremely long DORI performance distances. Identification distance reaches approximately 352 m at telephoto, while detection can extend beyond 3.5 km under ideal conditions. These distances make the camera particularly suited for elevated mounting positions such as towers, stadium structures, seaports, or border monitoring installations where operators need to track activity across very large areas.
The minimum focus distance of 3 m means the camera is optimized for medium-to-long-range surveillance rather than close-range monitoring. Integrators should therefore consider mounting height and patrol presets carefully to ensure optimal pixel density at target zones.
The PTZ drive system enables continuous 360° endless panning with tilt from –20° to +90°, allowing the camera to monitor both ground areas and elevated structures without repositioning the mount. Manual pan and tilt speeds range from approximately 0.065°/s up to 150°/s, while preset movements can reach 700°/s pan and 500°/s tilt for rapid repositioning. The camera supports up to 256 preset positions and automated modes including auto tracking, preset sequences, auto pan, and patrol routines.
This mechanical performance is critical in large surveillance environments where operators must quickly shift between incidents or follow vehicles across expansive coverage areas.
The camera captures video at resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 (4K) using H.265, H.264, or MJPEG compression. Multiple streams can be configured with different bitrates or frame rate priorities depending on bandwidth constraints. Advanced imaging features include Super Dynamic with up to 132 dB dynamic range, digital noise reduction, and intelligent image adjustments to maintain clarity in challenging lighting conditions.
Minimum illumination reaches approximately 0.13 lux in color and 0.006 lux in black-and-white mode depending on exposure configuration, allowing the camera to maintain usable imagery in low-light outdoor environments.
The integrated AI engine allows deployment of up to three edge analytics applications simultaneously. These can support functions such as intelligent detection, automated tracking, and behavior analysis depending on installed applications. Edge AI processing reduces reliance on server-side analytics infrastructure and allows faster real-time event response.
The WV-X66700-Z3K is designed for harsh outdoor installations. It is rated IP66 for water and dust resistance and IK10 for impact protection. The housing incorporates heavy salt-damage resistance coatings to support coastal or maritime deployments. The device operates in temperatures from –50 °C to +60 °C (with power-on range from –30 °C) and is compliant with NEMA 4X and NEMA-TS2 environmental standards. Wind resistance is rated up to approximately 40 m/s (about 89 mph).
The camera connects via 10/100 Ethernet and supports a wide set of networking protocols including IPv4, IPv6, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SNMP, IEEE 802.1X authentication, SRTP, and MQTT. ONVIF profiles G, M, S, and T are supported for integration with common video management platforms. Local storage via microSDXC cards up to 512 GB enables onboard recording and network-failure backup. Security architecture includes signed firmware, brute-force protection, device certificates, and tamper-resistant hardware design.
The camera operates using PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) with approximately 37.8 W consumption, classifying it as a Class 6 device. This higher power budget supports the PTZ drive system, AI processing, and optional accessories. Integrators should verify switch capacity and cable infrastructure to ensure proper PoE++ delivery.
This model is well suited for airports, city surveillance networks, seaports, stadiums, border monitoring, and large industrial facilities where operators require rapid PTZ movement, long-range optical zoom, and AI-assisted tracking.
If the application requires compact cameras for discreet installation, short-range interior coverage, or low-power PoE deployments, a fixed dome or bullet camera may be more appropriate.
