Ubiquiti U6-IW Wall-Mounted WiFi 6 Access Point with Integrated PoE Switch
Overview
The Ubiquiti U6-IW is a compact, in-wall mounted WiFi 6 access point designed for seamless network integration in commercial and residential installations. It combines a high-performance dual-band radio with an integrated four-port Gigabit Ethernet switch and PoE output, eliminating the need for separate switching infrastructure at the access point location. With 4.8 Gbps maximum data rate on 5 GHz and support for 250+ concurrent clients, the U6-IW delivers enterprise-class wireless performance in a form factor suitable for wall-mounted deployment.
Compatibility
The U6-IW operates within the UniFi ecosystem and is managed through the UniFi Cloud platform or on-premises controller. It requires PoE+ input for full functionality including PoE output operation. The device supports 802.11ax (WiFi 6), 802.11ac (WiFi 5), and 802.11n standards with band steering, 802.11r fast roaming, and RADIUS-based authentication. Integrates with existing UniFi switching, security, and access control deployments. Four Gigabit output ports support daisy-chaining or independent wired client connections with one port delivering PoE output.
