Reduces direct solar heating of the housing body and optical window, lowering peak internal temperatures during prolonged sun exposure. Lower temperatures extend housing accessory life and reduce heater/blower cycling. NDAA Section 889 compliant.

South-facing and west-facing camera positions in hot climates experience sustained solar radiation that raises internal temperatures well above ambient. A sun shield can reduce peak internal temperature by 10–15 degrees C. Confirm compatibility with the specific VERSO housing model and verify the 420 mm length matches the housing body. Shaded and north-facing positions in temperate climates may not justify the added cost. For maximum thermal management, pair with a properly sized blower accessory.
