$5,292.99The i-PRO WV-X66700-Z3LK is a 4K outdoor PTZ network camera engineered for long-range surveillance, rapid repositioning, and AI-assisted tracking in large-scale environments. Built around a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor and powered by an Ambarella CV22 system-on-chip, the platform combines ultra-high-resolution imaging with a 30× optical zoom PTZ mechanism and integrated infrared illumination for nighttime coverage. The camera supports up to three edge AI analytics applications and includes AI auto-tracking to follow moving objects automatically across the scene. High-speed mechanical performance enables pan speeds up to 700°/s and tilt speeds up to 500°/s, making it suitable for incident response monitoring across large facilities or city surveillance networks.
The WV-X66700-Z3LK uses a 4.5–135 mm motorized zoom lens delivering 30× optical zoom and up to 90× digital zoom depending on resolution settings. Horizontal field of view ranges from approximately 62° at wide angle down to 2.5° at full telephoto. This optical flexibility allows operators to monitor wide open areas and then zoom in for detailed identification of distant subjects.
DORI performance highlights the camera’s long-range capability. Detection can reach over 3.5 km at full telephoto, while identification distances extend to approximately 352 m under ideal conditions. These characteristics make the camera particularly effective for installations such as airports, ports, highways, border zones, and industrial campuses where targets may appear hundreds of meters away from the mounting position.
The lens supports a minimum focus distance of approximately 3 m, reinforcing its design focus on medium-to-long-range surveillance rather than close-range monitoring.
Unlike the non-IR variant in the same series, the WV-X66700-Z3LK integrates high-power IR LEDs for night operation. The illumination system supports a maximum irradiation distance of approximately 200 m under typical conditions (50 IRE measurement) and up to around 280 m under optimized sensitivity conditions. This allows the camera to maintain visibility in complete darkness, achieving 0 lux black-and-white imaging when IR illumination is active.
In practical deployments, the long-range IR is particularly valuable in perimeter security environments where lighting infrastructure is limited or unavailable.
The camera supports continuous 360° endless panning with tilt capability from –20° to +90°, enabling monitoring of ground-level activity and elevated structures. Manual pan and tilt speeds range from approximately 0.065°/s to 150°/s, while preset transitions can reach speeds up to 700°/s pan and 500°/s tilt for rapid repositioning. The system supports up to 256 preset positions and multiple automated operational modes including auto tracking, auto pan, preset sequences, and patrol routines.
The WV-X66700-Z3LK records video at resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 (4K) using H.265, H.264, or MJPEG compression formats. Multiple streaming configurations allow integrators to optimize bandwidth, storage consumption, or frame-rate priority depending on system design. Imaging technologies include Super Dynamic processing with up to 132 dB dynamic range, digital noise reduction, and intelligent auto exposure adjustments to maintain image clarity in challenging lighting conditions.
An onboard AI engine supports up to three edge analytics applications simultaneously. These analytics can enable functions such as intelligent detection and automated target tracking directly at the camera, reducing reliance on centralized servers and improving response times. The platform architecture is built around the Ambarella CV22 system-on-chip for edge video processing and analytics workloads.
The camera is designed for harsh outdoor environments. It features IP66 protection against water and dust ingress and IK10 impact resistance. The housing incorporates heavy salt-damage resistance coatings, making it suitable for coastal or marine environments. The PTZ dome is engineered to operate in temperatures ranging from extreme cold to high heat, and the system is designed for demanding infrastructure installations.
This camera is well suited for city surveillance, border monitoring, transportation hubs, stadiums, industrial facilities, and large campus environments where long-range optical zoom, rapid PTZ movement, and AI-assisted tracking are required. The integrated IR illumination also makes it effective for perimeter monitoring in low-light or completely dark conditions.
If the application requires discreet installation, compact form factors, or short-range interior monitoring, a fixed dome or bullet camera will generally be more appropriate.
