Overview
Hanwha TNO-4030TR Radiometric Thermal Bullet Camera
The Hanwha TNO-4030TR is a long-range, high-resolution radiometric thermal camera engineered for critical infrastructure protection, perimeter security, and industrial monitoring. Unlike standard thermal cameras, this system combines thermal imaging with precise temperature measurement across the entire field of view, enabling operators to detect anomalies, monitor equipment health, and identify security threats in complete darkness, fog, smoke, and other obscured conditions where visible-light cameras fail.
Key Features
- Radiometric temperature detection across 6 ROI zones and full field of view (-20°C to 130°C)
- Uncooled micro bolometer with <50mK thermal sensitivity (NETD) for precise heat differentiation
- Fixed 13mm lens with 48.6° horizontal, 36.4° vertical field of view (61.6° diagonal)
- Multiple thermal color palettes including Whitehot, Blackhot, Rainbow, Iron, and custom options
- PoE powered with extremely low power consumption (8.6W typical)
- IP66/IK10/NEMA4X rated aluminum construction for outdoor durability
- Built-in gyro sensor for digital image stabilization
Technical Specifications
The TNO-4030TR delivers 30fps video at H.265/H.264 compression with smart codec support and WiseStreamII bandwidth optimization. It provides multiple streaming profiles (up to 10) supporting up to 20 unicast users simultaneously. The camera features 1GB RAM and 256MB Flash with support for microSD/SDHC/SDXC edge storage up to 256GB.
Temperature measurement accuracy is ±5°C below 100°C and ±20% above 100°C across the defined detection range. The F1.0 aperture and 17µm pixel size enable excellent detail capture at extended distances, with a 5m minimum object distance.
Advanced analytics include motion detection (8-point polygonal zones), directional detection, appear/disappear, enter/exit, loitering detection, tampering alerts, virtual line crossing, audio detection, sound classification, and shock detection. Privacy masking supports 24 polygonal zones with multiple color options and mosaic blurring.
Connectivity & Integration
Wired PoE (IEEE 802.3af Class 3) connectivity eliminates dedicated power runs. The camera supports IPv4/IPv6 with ONVIF Profile S/G/T compliance, SUNAPI HTTP API access, and Wisenet open platform integration. Network security includes HTTPS/SSL authentication, IP filtering, 802.1X EAP-TLS/LEAP support, and user access logging.
Alarm I/O includes 1 input and 2 outputs triggered by analytics, network disconnect, alarm input, or MQTT subscription. Event actions include email/FTP file upload, SD/NAS recording, email notification, alarm output activation, PTZ handover, and MQTT publication.
Audio & Additional Capabilities
Selectable mic/line audio input and line audio output support G.711 and G.726 compression. The camera operates reliably across -40°C to +60°C ambient temperatures with less than 90% humidity. Display language support includes 14 languages.
Applications
- Critical infrastructure perimeter surveillance (power plants, utilities, airports)
- Industrial equipment monitoring and thermal anomaly detection
- Border and restricted area security
- Fire detection and early warning systems
- Search and rescue operations
- Port and maritime security

The TNO-4030TR stands out in the thermal surveillance market through its integrated radiometric capability—the ability to measure absolute temperature values in real time across the entire frame. This is critical for predictive maintenance (detecting equipment overheating before failure), security threat identification (locating hidden individuals by body heat), and compliance monitoring in temperature-sensitive environments.
The sub-50mK thermal sensitivity means this camera can resolve temperature differences of less than one-twentieth of a degree, providing operators with actionable intelligence unavailable from standard thermal systems. Combined with the F1.0 aperture and fixed 13mm focal length, the TNO-4030TR delivers exceptional detection range and clarity—ideal for perimeter surveillance of large areas.
PoE power delivery and native ONVIF/MQTT support simplify integration into existing security ecosystems, while WiseStreamII codec optimization reduces bandwidth and storage demands without sacrificing image quality. The IK10 rating and aluminum construction ensure years of reliable operation in harsh outdoor environments, making this a premium choice for mission-critical thermal monitoring applications.
