The Axis I8307-VE is a ruggedized network video intercom engineered for business and IT use, combining advanced imaging, secure communications, and physical access control in a single IP-based device. At its core is a fully-featured 8 MP (≈4K Ultra HD, 3840×2160) sensor with a 2.2 mm f/1.8 lens offering a wide field of view of approximately 150° horizontal by 112° vertical. It delivers high-resolution imagery even in low-light conditions, supports Forensic WDR up to ~120 dB, and uses Axis’ Zipstream technology to optimize bandwidth without sacrificing detail. Two-way audio is handled via dual built-in microphones, echo cancellation, noise reduction, and a built-in speaker capable of up to 85 dB SPL, ensuring intelligible communication in noisy or challenging outdoor environments. The unit is also built for robustness: IP66 rated for weather sealing, IK08 for vandal resistance, and an operating temperature range from −30 °C to +55 °C.

Functionally, the I8307-VE integrates multiple access and authentication methods: an RFID reader supporting both 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz technologies, a metal keypad for PIN or code entry, and an interactive 7-inch capacitive touchscreen that can be customized for display buttons, maps, welcome messages, or status indicators. For system integration, it supports standard protocols such as ONVIF (Profiles G, M, S, T), SIP for VoIP intercom use, and Axis’ own VAPIX API. All firmware and hardware are secured with the Axis Edge Vault platform, which includes FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified secure key storage and various cybersecurity features. Power over Ethernet (PoE) simplifies deployment and cabling needs.
