Altronix ACMS8 Dual Input Access Power Controller
Overview
The Altronix ACMS8 is a UL-listed sub-assembly designed for integration into Altronix wall and rack-mount enclosures. It routes power from two independent low-voltage sources (5–24VDC) into eight individually controlled, fuse-protected outputs. Each output accepts trigger inputs from access control systems, card readers, keypads, pushbuttons, PIR sensors, and other control devices. Outputs support both Fail-Safe and Fail-Secure operation modes and can route power to mag locks, electric strikes, magnetic door holders, and related hardware.
Key Features
- Dual independent 5–24VDC inputs
- Eight fuse-protected outputs (3A/32V per fuse)
- Individually selectable fire alarm disconnect on any or all outputs
- Eight independently controlled trigger inputs (NO, NC, open collector, wet 5–24VDC)
- FACP interface for emergency egress and alarm monitoring
- Convertible outputs to dry form "C" contacts
- Daisy-chain capability via spade connectors for system expansion
Compatibility
Input power must be derived from Altronix eFlow series power supplies (12 or 24VDC). Second input accepts 12 or 24VDC from eFlow supplies or 5 or 12VDC from Altronix VR6 Regulator. Maximum 20A total input; main fuse rating 15/32A. Current consumption: 0.6A @ 12V or 0.3A @ 24V with all relays energized. Designed for access control integration in commercial and institutional installations.
