Overview

Pelco SRXE4-8X31-EBT-IR1 is a Sarix Enterprise outdoor bullet camera with an 8MP sensor and 31x motorized varifocal lens, paired with an IR1 illumination module delivering approximately 70 m of 850 nm IR range. The wide zoom ratio covers broad scene monitoring at the short end and detailed identification at full telephoto—a single camera replaces what would otherwise require multiple fixed-lens units. Built on a 1/1.8″ progressive scan CMOS sensor with 130 dB WDR, FIPS 140-3 validated encryption, and Pelco Smart Analytics.

PoE+ or 12/24 Vdc powered. ONVIF Profile S, T, G, and M compliant. NDAA Section 889 compliant. The motorized zoom adjusts remotely, reducing truck rolls for scene reframing after initial commissioning.

Compatibility and selection notes

The 31x zoom range suits perimeter lanes, loading docks, and long corridors where focal length needs vary. For fixed-lens installations at a lower price point, the SRXE4-8V9-EBT-IR1 (9 mm) or SRXE4-8V29-EBT-IR1 (29 mm) cover specific fields of view without the motorized mechanism. Requires PoE+ (30 W class) switch ports or local power supply.
