Overview

Pelco ESCE1-2X40Q18-RLU is an Esprit Compact Enhanced 1 bispectral PTZ dome combining a 2MP visible imager with 40× optical zoom and an integrated QVGA uncooled microbolometer thermal channel with 18 mm fixed thermal lens. MIL-STD-810G rated for extreme environmental durability. The visible channel provides identification-grade detail while the thermal channel detects heat signatures through fog, smoke, and complete darkness from a single mounting point.

Pelco Smart Analytics on both channels. H.265/H.264 dual-stream encoding. ONVIF compliant. NDAA Section 889 compliant. Critical infrastructure perimeters and border security benefit from simultaneous visible and thermal coverage without separate camera installations.

Compatibility and selection notes

The 18 mm thermal lens provides mid-range thermal detection. For wider thermal coverage with a 6 mm lens, see the ESCE1-2X40Q6 variant. For export-compliant 9 Hz thermal, look for the “-1” suffix. The visible 40× zoom operates independently of the fixed thermal lens.
