Overview

Pelco EXP2230-62-G is an ExSite Enhanced 2 explosion-proof PTZ delivering 2 MP imaging with 30× optical zoom and integrated IR illumination in an aluminum alloy housing. The “-G” suffix adds IR capability for zero-light operation. Certified ATEX Zone 1/21, IECEx Zone 1/21, and UL/cUL Class I Division 1. Full 360° continuous pan, presets, guard tours, and on-camera analytics.

True WDR and IR illumination allow the camera to maintain usable imagery in complete darkness without external lighting—critical in hazardous areas where conventional lighting may be restricted. H.265/H.264 dual streaming. NDAA Section 889 compliant.

Compatibility and selection notes

The -G variant adds IR to the base EXP2230-62 (24 Vac aluminum) platform. For sites that already have hazardous-rated lighting, the non-IR EXP2230-62 may be sufficient and costs less. Stainless steel IR variants are available in the -65-G series for corrosive environments. Verify power input matches your site—this model runs on 24 Vac.
