$389.99The Hanwha Vision QNV-C6083R is a 2MP AI IR vandal dome camera built around a 1/2.8 inch CMOS sensor delivering up to 1920x1080 resolution at 30fps using H.265 or H.264 compression. Designed for outdoor and high abuse environments, it carries IP66 ingress protection, IK10 impact rating, and NEMA 250 Type 4X compliance. The unit integrates an AI engine with onboard NPU supporting object classification for person and vehicle types, along with business intelligence functions such as people counting and vehicle counting. With WiseStream III, 120dB WDR, and WiseNR II noise reduction, it is engineered for bandwidth efficiency and challenging lighting conditions while maintaining forensic-level clarity at 2MP.
The camera uses a 3.2 to 10.2mm motorized varifocal lens with 3.2x optical zoom and DC auto iris (F1.6 wide to F3.1 tele). Horizontal field of view ranges from 102 degrees at wide to 32 degrees at tele. This allows the installer to shift between broad situational coverage and tighter pixel density optimization without changing hardware. At the wide end, it supports area awareness in lobbies, corridors, and exterior perimeters. At tele, it significantly increases identification distances.
DORI performance illustrates practical deployment limits. At tele, identification (250PPM) reaches 13.4m, compared to 3.1m at wide. Detection distances extend to 133.9m at tele. This makes focal tuning critical; installers must balance coverage width against pixel-per-meter targets. Minimum object distance is 1.2m, so extremely tight mounting above entry doors requires consideration. Pan 0 to 350 degrees, tilt -35 to 70 degrees, and rotate 0 to 355 degrees provide flexible mechanical alignment during installation.
The onboard AI engine classifies Person and Vehicle objects, with vehicle subtype attributes including car, bus, truck, motorcycle, and bicycle. Analytics events include object detection, virtual line crossing with direction filtering, and virtual area rules such as intrusion, loitering, enter, and exit. Additional normal analytics include defocus detection and tampering. Business intelligence functions include people counting, queue management, heatmap, and vehicle counting. These capabilities reduce false alarms compared to motion-only systems and enable metadata-driven search in compatible VMS platforms.
Minimum illumination is rated at 0.04 lux in color and 0.004 lux in black and white at F1.6, 1/30 sec. Integrated 850nm IR LEDs provide up to 40m of viewable distance. Wide Dynamic Range is rated at 120dB, supporting mixed lighting scenes such as entrances with strong backlight. WiseNR II leverages the AI engine for noise reduction, improving low-light detail while controlling bitrate. Electronic shutter ranges from 1/5 to 1/25,000 sec, allowing tuning for motion control versus exposure depth.
The housing is aluminum with a hard-coated dome bubble. It operates from -40C to +55C with 0 to 100 percent relative humidity (condensing). IP66 and IK10 ratings confirm suitability for exposed outdoor applications and vandal-prone areas such as schools, transportation hubs, and correctional facilities.
The camera supports PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 3) with maximum consumption of 9.8W. Network interface is RJ-45 10/100BASE-T. Edge storage supports microSD up to 256GB locally and up to 1TB for OnCloud certified cards. Cybersecurity controls include secure boot, signed firmware, encrypted firmware, IEEE 802.1X authentication, HTTPS, SRTP, AES-256 SD card encryption, and device certificate authentication. ONVIF profiles S, G, T, and M are supported.
This model fits projects requiring AI-based person and vehicle classification at 1080p resolution, strong vandal resistance, and flexible focal adjustment. It is well suited for retail, education, municipal, and perimeter deployments where analytic filtering reduces nuisance alerts.
It is not ideal for long-range identification beyond the tele DORI limits or projects requiring higher than 2MP resolution. Sites demanding multi-sensor panoramic coverage would require a different platform.
