Overview

Replacement sunshield for OptiView camera housings. Reduces direct solar loading on the housing body, lowering internal temperatures and extending electronics lifespan in high-irradiance outdoor environments. Most valuable on south- and west-facing exposures with sustained direct sun, particularly in desert or equatorial installations. NDAA Section 889 compliant.

Compatibility and selection notes

Sunshields are not cross-compatible across Pelco housing families — confirm mounting compatibility with the specific OptiView housing model before ordering. In locations with both high solar exposure and significant wind loading, verify the mount hardware supports the additional surface area and drag.
