Overview

Pelco OCTEXBA1/2P is a 1/2-inch NPT armored barrier cable gland with ATEX and IECEx certification for hazardous area camera installations. Combines mechanical armor protection at the cable entry with barrier construction that electrically isolates hazardous-area and safe-area sides of the cable run. Dual certification covers European and international projects. NDAA Section 889 compliant.

Compatibility and selection notes

Armored cable runs in petrochemical facilities, refineries, and explosive-atmosphere environments need glands that accommodate the armor while maintaining barrier isolation. For non-armored cable, the OCTEXB1/2P standard barrier gland may be sufficient. Confirm cable diameter, armor type, and construction are compatible with the gland sealing range.
