$3,827.99The i-PRO WV-X66300-Z4K is a high-speed outdoor PTZ network camera designed for long-range situational awareness and active incident response. Built around a 2MP sensor and a powerful 40× optical zoom lens, the platform is engineered for surveillance environments where operators must rapidly reposition the camera and maintain identification-level detail at distance. The unit integrates an AI processing engine capable of running edge analytics, enabling automated detection and AI auto-tracking without requiring additional server infrastructure.
The camera features an innovative rapid PTZ drive system capable of extremely fast preset positioning, enabling operators to move between surveillance zones quickly during live monitoring or automated patrol sequences. With environmental hardening for salt-damage resistance and rugged outdoor certifications, the WV-X66300-Z4K is intended for transportation, maritime, city surveillance, and critical infrastructure deployments.
The integrated motorized zoom lens spans 4.25–170 mm focal length and delivers 40× optical zoom. At wide angle, the camera provides approximately 65° horizontal coverage, while telephoto narrows the field of view to roughly 2° for long-range target acquisition.
This optical range allows the system to transition from wide situational awareness to precise long-distance identification. DORI modeling shows the impact of this zoom capability. Detection distance can extend to approximately 2199.9 m at telephoto, while identification distance reaches up to about 220 m when the lens is fully zoomed. At wide angle, identification distance drops to around 6 m due to the wider coverage geometry.
For deployment planning, this means the camera is particularly effective when mounted at height—such as on towers, building rooftops, or poles—where operators can use wide coverage for monitoring and then zoom into specific targets when activity occurs.
The WV-X66300-Z4K is designed for rapid mechanical repositioning. The PTZ system supports continuous 360° panning and a tilt range from −20° to +90°, allowing coverage of both ground-level and elevated scenes from a single mounting location. Preset speeds can reach up to approximately 700° per second for panning and 500° per second for tilt movement when powered via PoE++.
The system supports up to 256 preset positions and multiple automated movement modes including auto tracking, preset sequences, patrol routes, and auto pan. These capabilities allow the camera to serve both as an operator-controlled investigation tool and as an automated perimeter monitoring device.
The platform incorporates an AI-capable system-on-chip (Ambarella CV25m) that enables edge-based analytics directly on the camera. Up to two edge AI analytic applications can run simultaneously, supporting functions such as AI auto tracking and intelligent event detection.
Processing analytics at the camera reduces bandwidth requirements and shortens response time, enabling faster event detection and more efficient VMS integration in distributed deployments.
The camera uses a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor and supports dynamic range up to approximately 144 dB when Super Dynamic mode is enabled. Minimum illumination can reach extremely low levels—down to approximately 0.011 lux in color mode and 0.0004 lux in black-and-white conditions depending on shutter and gain settings.
These capabilities help preserve image detail in challenging scenes such as backlit environments, nighttime urban surveillance, and high-contrast lighting conditions.
The WV-X66300-Z4K is designed for harsh outdoor environments. The enclosure carries IP66 ingress protection and IK10 impact resistance ratings, as well as NEMA 4X environmental certification. The housing includes heavy salt-damage resistance coating, making it suitable for coastal or maritime installations where corrosion is a concern.
Wind resistance is rated up to approximately 40 m/s, supporting installations in exposed areas such as ports, bridges, and elevated infrastructure.
The camera supports modern cybersecurity protections including FIPS 140-2 Level 3 compliant hardware security modules, device certificates, signed firmware, and IEEE 802.1X authentication. These features help secure device identity and protect network communications within enterprise or government surveillance networks.
The WV-X66300-Z4K is ideal for deployments that require rapid PTZ repositioning and long-range optical monitoring. Typical applications include city surveillance, transportation corridors, ports, border monitoring, stadium security, and large industrial sites where operators must actively investigate events across wide areas.
If the deployment requires fixed multi-directional coverage without operator intervention, or if ultra-high resolution wide-area monitoring is the priority, a multi-sensor or panoramic camera may provide more efficient coverage than a PTZ system.
