$299.99The Hanwha Vision QND-C8013R is a 5MP AI-enabled indoor IR dome camera designed for cost-conscious commercial deployments that still require classified object detection and business intelligence at the edge. It delivers up to 2592x1944 resolution at 30fps using H.265 or H.264, with WiseStream III compression to reduce bandwidth and storage impact. Built around a 1/2.8 inch CMOS sensor and fixed 3.0mm lens, this model is intended for ceiling-mounted interior coverage where wide-area situational awareness and AI-driven metadata are more important than long-range optical zoom. Power is provided via PoE IEEE 802.3af Class 3 with a maximum consumption of 8.1W, making it easy to deploy across existing access-layer switches without special power budgeting.
The fixed 3.0mm lens provides a horizontal field of view of 100 degrees, vertical 73 degrees, and diagonal 129 degrees. This places it firmly in the wide coverage category. At typical ceiling heights of 8 to 12 feet, this lens is optimized for area monitoring rather than detailed long-range identification. DORI values at the wide setting are specified as: Detect 43.5m, Observe 17.5m, Recognize 8.7m, Identify 4.3m under EN62676-4 methodology. These values assume ideal center-of-frame pixel density and should be treated as engineering guidance. In practice, if identification is required beyond approximately 4 meters, additional cameras or tighter lens geometry should be considered. Minimum object distance is 0.5m. Mechanical adjustment allows Pan 0 to 355 degrees, Tilt 0 to 75 degrees, and Rotate 0 to 355 degrees, which provides flexible alignment during installation but does not change focal geometry.
This model supports AI-based classified object detection for Person and Vehicle. Vehicle sub-types include car, bus, truck, motorcycle, and bicycle. Attribute extraction includes upper and lower clothing color for persons and vehicle type and color. BestShot thumbnail capture is supported. Analytics events include object detection, virtual line crossing with direction filtering, and virtual area rules including loitering, intrusion, enter, and exit. Business intelligence features include people counting, queue management, heatmap generation, and vehicle counting. Dynamic privacy masking for person and vehicle is supported using mosaic masking. Analytics run on an onboard NPU and are complemented by WiseNR II noise reduction based on the AI engine.
Minimum illumination is rated at 0.05 lux color and 0.005 lux black and white at F1.6, 1/30 second, 30IRE. The integrated 850nm IR LED system provides up to 25m of illumination. WDR is specified at 120dB, which is appropriate for mixed lighting environments such as retail entries or windowed corridors. Day and Night operation is via mechanical ICR. Digital noise reduction includes WiseNR II and SSNR V. Electronic shutter ranges from 1/5 to 1/25,000 second. The dome features a hard-coated bubble to resist scratching in public-facing interiors.
The QND-C8013R is rated for indoor environments with an operating temperature of -10C to +45C and 0 to 95 percent RH non-condensing. Storage temperature is -30C to +60C. The enclosure is plastic with a hard-coated dome bubble. There is no published IP or IK rating for this model, reinforcing its intended indoor use profile.
Networking is via RJ-45 10/100BASE-T. Compression includes H.265, H.264, and MJPEG with up to 5 simultaneous profiles and support for up to 20 unicast users. Edge storage supports microSD, SDHC, and SDXC up to 256GB in a single slot, with AES-256 SD card partition encryption. Security features include encrypted firmware, secure boot, signed firmware, IEEE 802.1X authentication, HTTPS, SRTP, IP-based access control, and device certificate under Hanwha Vision Root CA. ONVIF Profiles S, G, T, and M are supported.
This camera is well suited for indoor retail, education, office, and healthcare environments where AI classification, people counting, and wide coverage are required within a constrained PoE power budget.
This is not an outdoor-rated model and does not provide optical zoom. Projects requiring higher ingress protection, impact ratings, or long-range identification should consider alternative models.
